Originally from Escondido California, Justin Andrew Rodemoyer moved to Southern Colorado in 1991. At just eight years old, he picked up the drumsticks and never looked back. In school, he played in concert band, jazz band and led the Rye High School marching band as snare captain, earning him the prestigious John Philip Sousa Award.
Justin’s musical journey weaves through Colorado’s vibrant scene. His musical resume rings with energy, playing and sitting in with some really great bands and musicians, including… punk rock group “Second Family” (Ideal Citizens), Unsworn, Melody and the Blue Tubes, The Barnburners, the Family Juls band, Jeff Young, The Matt Fuson band and even played guitar with the Mesa Love Guns at the 2023 MESA Summit at the Hard Rock CABO.
In August, 2024, the phone rang… Matt Fuson was looking for a drummer to play in an original group, “A Second to Breathe,” they were scheduled to debut and headline a music festival a couple months away. Justin jumped in and has been an active member ever since.
