Geoff Clausen
Bass Guitar and Vocals
Born in Lamar, Colorado, Geoff Clausen is a heavy metal and rock musician known for his powerful playing style and strong stage presence. Like a lot of musicians, Geoff's musical journey began in choir and at age 13, he took up the trombone, giving him an early foundation in timing and musical structure. By 15, he picked up the guitar... an instrument that would shape his path into a very respectful musical career. At 18, Geoff moved to Pueblo Colorado, where he immersed himself in the local music scene and began refining his musical style. Over the years, he has built a reputation as a versatile multi-instrumentalist, contributing to several projects across Colorado’s rock and metal community. Geoff spent nearly a decade as a guitarist for Beast of Milwaukee (2006–2015) and has been seen opening for various national acts with Stolen Format. (2015-2021) In 2017 Geoff held down bass duties for Privus Lex and returned to guitar with Halcyon (2024–2025). Drawing influence from bands like Thrice, Every Time I Die, Killswitch Engage, Pennywise, and Staind, Geoff’s playing blends aggression, melody, and depth. His wide range of influences allow him to move seamlessly between driving low-end grooves and dynamic, expressive passages. In early 2026, Geoff joined A Second to Breathe, bringing his experience, intensity, and stage presence to the band’s evolving sound.
